FACILITIES & THE ENVIRONMENT

Growth and Expansion in a Spacious Environment

The Australian International School Malaysia is adjacent to a 21 hectare lake and is surrounded by lush greenery. This provides students the opportunity to learn in wide, open spaces and a serene environment not imposed by possible future developments. It also allows the school the option of using the surrounding grounds for sporting events and other activities.

Our facilities include:

  • fully-equipped gymnasium
  • sports hall, basketball court, school field, play grounds
  • 25-metre swimming pool
  • performing arts practice rooms
  • visual arts rooms
  • laboratories, darkroom or photo lab
  • cafeteria
  • information resource centre
  • English as Second Language (ESL) centre
  • auditorium equipped with high tech audio visual systems.

The integration of ICT in the learning environment is an integral part of the curriculum. Facilities include virtual learning environments, electronic smart boards in each class, net books, mobile IT labs, I-Pads, I-Phones, specialized IT rooms.

The school has undergone sustained growth since its inception and in 2011 has embarked on a major development and expansion project. The school’s building developments will involve the construction of a custom-built early years centre, performing arts centre with Black Box Theater, dance and music rooms and an extensive information resource centre. Additional resources will also be incorporated into the areas of sports, science and technology.
