
SENIOR SCHOOL
The curriculum of the Senior School at AISM (Years 9 – 12) consists of two courses, each of two years duration.
Subjects offered to students include:
- Core subjects; English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
- Elective subjects; Malaysian Studies, Information and Software Technology, Commerce, Photographic and Digital Media, Visual Arts, Physical Activity and Sports Studies, Drama, Design and Technology, Music, Mathematics, Business Studies, Design and Technology, General Mathematics, Economics, Biology, Modern History, Malay Background Speakers, Chemistry, Legal Studies, Drama, Physics, Information Processes and Technology
- School Certificate (SC)
Students in Years 9 and 10 study for the School Certificate. The course is a combination of compulsory and elective subjects. Both compulsory and elective courses are assessed internally. In addition, the compulsory subjects are externally examined at the end of Year 10.

Higher School Certificate (HSC)
Students in Years 11 and 12 study for the Higher School Certificate. This credential articulates smoothly into the Australian Tertiary entrance system and is internationally recognised for entry into Universities in Asia, Europe and the USA.
Entry into Year 11 (Preliminary HSC course) requires satisfactory completion of the School Certificate (or its equivalent). English is the only compulsory subject at senior level.
