Initially, to enter Preparation, a student should be three years of age. At all year levels, while age is a guiding factor, allowance is made for individual differences.

The Key Learning Areas for Primary Education (Kindergarten to Year 6) are:

• English
• Mathematics
• Science and Technology
• Human Society and Its Environment
• Creative and Practical Arts
• Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
*Courses of Study relating to Australia are included in the key  
  learning area of Human Society and Its Environment and both 
  Art and Music courses of study are included in the key learning 
  area of Creative and Practical Arts.
*Bahasa Melayu  is offered from Kindergarten and Mandarin from Year 2.

Courses of study relating to Australia, Civics, and Citizenship are included in the History and Geography subjects in both Stages 4 and 5.
