CAMPS 2007

In 2007, the themes continue to be activity based, with the activities varying depending on the age of the students. Year 2 students enjoyed a sleepover in school. Year 10 students  combined the activity with a History bias in Sandakan, Year 9 students tried different activities in Lumut from those enjoyed by the Y7 and 8 students, and Year 11 made a cultural visit to Singapore.

The Junior and Middle School students  went off in the second week of May while the Senior students had their mid year examinations. They'll all be off enjoying their new experiences for a whole week in August while the Middle School students get to work on their annual Production.

Dear Diary,

18th of May 2007....

We are going for a treasure hunt around Eagle Ranch Resort. I am the girl group leader and Bryan is the boy group leader. We got to our starting point first and we won the treasure hunt. Then we went into our dormitory and got changed into our swimming suits and got a drink of water then we set off towards the swimming pool.  After that we got changed and packed up our clothes and went into our reception left our bags there, went to the restaurant and ate and bought souvenirs.

Year 10 students

The year 10’s and Mrs. Grimes, Mr. Thorpe and Ms. Sayner have recently returned form a memorable trip to Sabah.   Our early morning Air Asia flight took us to Sandakan where we were met by our tour group leader, Jun, or ‘Papa Bear’ as he is more commonly known.   After lunch in a Sandakan restaurant, we boarded two buses for the Kinabatangan River, two and a half hours drive south of Sandakan.
