BOOKWEEK  2005

BOOKWEEK 22nd - 26th August
to 'What's on'

Book Week 2005 was a great success. Everyone has enjoyed wearing the very creative T-shirts designed by year 12 using the Bookweek theme for 2005 - READING ROCKS!

The “Dress Up Day” was a great success, especially Mr Saucepan Man, worn by our Head of Infants, Mrs Judy Hilbig.

Lunchtime performances in the library were very entertaining with solo and group acts. A highlight of the Secondary assembly was the “Rock” performance by Ben, Ivan, Brian, Ms Odette and Mr Grant-Lapre. The short movie presented by Year 11 was also very amusing. The Junior school assembly featured year 4C singing a lively song from the Primary production, a book rap from KW and a wonderful  “Reading Rocks!” movie by 3B.

The Children’s Book Council of Australia’s (CBCA) 2005 winners were announced in Sydney on 19th August. If you would like the details of these awards please go to www.cbc.org.au. We have all the short listed titles on display in our library.
