Speech Day

Congratulations to all those students recognised for their exceptional performances throughout the year at Tuesday’s Speech Day. The 2015 Junior School Captains delivered an outstanding address, and the 2016 Junior School Captains were announced. We were treated to two outstanding musical items by the Junior School String Orchestra and Ru En How.

Move up Morning

This morning our students participated in our first ‘Move Up Morning’. All students moved into their new classes for 2016 with their new classmates. Returning teachers greeted their new classes and all new teachers sent through videos, introducing themselves and telling the students how much they were looking forward to joining them next year. I trust this new initiative will go some way to relieving the nerves some of our students feel at the beginning of the new school year.

2016

The first day for returning students is Wednesday 27 January. All Junior School students will start the day by gathering in the Gym, where all students will be welcomed to the 2016 school year and new teachers will be introduced.

Happy Holidays

What an extraordinarily busy year! Thank you to all of the parents who have volunteered their time and energy to supporting our children, to all of our teachers for their hard work and dedication, and to our students, whose seemingly limitless energy and zest have made the year such a rewarding one. I wish all members of the Junior School community a safe and happy holiday. To those who are moving on, I wish you all the very best of luck with your new adventure, and to those of you who are returning in 2016, I look forward to seeing you all again in the new year.
