Mrs Eryn Grady, Head of the Arts
Bachelor of Music (University of New England), Bachelor of Music Honours in Community Music, Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary Music), Masters of Education (School Leadership), Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
Eryn is an experienced HOD and a specialist Music Teacher. She has worked in NSW and QLD before moving to the UK in 2010 to teach. Having developed orchestras, Bands and String Ensembles, Eryn is an accomplished conductor and director. She enjoys all types of music and working across all age ranges. Eryn has enjoyed great success with her students in the HSC as well as extra curricular music.
Eryn has enjoyed working in various leadership roles and developing successful Creative Arts Teams.
Mr Grant Smith, Music Teacher
Bachelor of Contemporary Music, (Southern Cross University), Diploma of Jazz Performance (Gordon Tafe), Diploma of Education (University of Melbourne), Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Grant Smith begun professionally teaching instrumental music (Bass) in 1998 and has continued to pursue an active teaching career through out Victoria, Australia. Grant has taught V.C.E Music, VELS Music and V.E.T Music (Performance and Technical Production Courses), Instrumental Studies at numerous schools and before commencing at AISM was employed by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority as an official assessor in V.C.E Music Solo Exams ( Bass ).
Leadership roles also include being appointed ‘Head of Department’ (Music) at JMC Academy ( Melbourne, Australia ) within the tertiary sector of education.
Tracey Niesman, Music Teacher
Bachelor of Music (Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, South Africa)
Tracey taught music in South Africa for seven years until her new husband took her with him to Nigeria. There she worked at two different international schools before moving to Malaysia. After a few years at home being a mother, Tracey is looking forward to getting back into the classroom and sharing her passion for Music.
Mrs Katherine Kitching, Drama and English Teacher
Bachelor of Education (Secondary) (Flinders University), Bachelor of Arts (Drama, English and History) (Flinders University)
Katherine worked in South Australia as a Secondary Drama Coordinator before traveling to Europe where she taught English and Media Studies at various schools in London, UK. She joined the Performing Arts faculty at AISM in 2013, teaching Drama and directing and supporting students in a variety of performance and arts activities such as productions, musicals, performances, workshops, showcases and exhibitions.
