We require an enthusiastic, committed and qualified Special Education teacher for September 2008.

 SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

•  A confident, independent teacher with a love of children and a commitment to Special Education

• Provide programming support and evaluation for all Learning Support and Special Needs students.

• Teach skills to individual and small groups of students to promote successful integration with the mainstream classroom.

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing and monitoring of ILP’s.

• Experience dealing with Dyslexia and or Aspergers / Autism desirable.

• Minimum 2 years full time experience necessary.
• Australian qualifications, training and experience preferred.
• Familiarization with the NSW BOS curriculum preferred.
• Ability to foster independent learning skills and love of learning necessary.

 TEACHERS’ AIDE (PRESCHOOL)

A Teachers’ Aide assists the teaching staff with a variety of jobs within the school. These positions are not teaching positions and do not receive the salary and conditions of teachers. All positions require good spoken and written English skills as well as the ability to read to students in English.

 Responsibilities:

This position would suit a person who is:

• experienced/qualified working in schools or kindergartens with children between 3 and 5 years of age;
• a good organiser;
• able to assist teachers in classroom activities;
• able to use audio-visual and IT equipment.
