One of the dances which held the audience
enthralled at the International Day
celebrations. |
INTERNATIONAL Day at
the Australian International School Malaysia was celebrated in a big
way due to the diversity of its student population.
The celebrations comprised three parts – a cultural assembly,
food fest, and cultural display. Everyone got into the spirit by
dressing up, either in their own dress or that of a country in which
they have lived.
During the assembly, the students modelled their outfits in
between performances.
Highlights this year included an extremely energetic Colombian
dance performed by a student and his mum.
The audience were also treated to Korean dances, classical and
modern, and a bit of Bollywood. A group of Malaysian students who
have lived in different countries shared the story of Merdeka and
sang traditional Malaysian songs.
