Middle and Senior School Swimming Carnival

Day :  Tuesday, 16 August, 2016

Time: 8.50am ( roll call) to 3.10pm (CCA’s will run as normal)

We welcome all parents and guardians to come along and support their children in our forthcoming House Swimming Carnival. Seating will be placed on Level 1 so you will have a great “birds eye” view of what’s happening in the pool below. Students will be located  in their House areas around the pool, using benches for seating. Whilst the school endeavours to provide shade for your child throughout the day, it is essential that they bring sun-cream, a hat and a water bottle.  Students will be required to wear their House uniform, House swim cap, goggles, swim wear and will need to bring a towel.

Food and drinks will be available for sale from the canteen and cafe area at recess and lunch, which will be at normal times.  It may be a good idea for students to bring snacks to consume in between events. There will also be a bake stall selling ice-blocks and cakes. Any parents who wish to contribute to the stall, please contact a representative from the Parent Association.

This is a House event and all participants will contribute points to their House. It is important to note that an event may consist of more than one heat; however, all heat place getters will receive a ribbon. Age Champion points will be given to the fastest three swimmers in certain events. Please note that only events with a distance of 50m and up accumulate age group champion points; however, all events accumulate House points. House Captains of the winning team and Age Group Champions will be presented with the winning trophy and medallions in a future assembly.
