Term 3 began with Year 10 Subject Selection interviews, where I had to opportunity the meet with each of our Year 10 students to discuss their hopes for further study after Year 12 and what subjects they are hoping to take next year. It was very impressive to hear how much each student had carefully reflected on their skills, interests and abilities and used their insight to inform their subject choices. We hope that Year 10 continue to take such an active role in their learning and put themselves in the best possible position to excel in their final two years at school.
TIAN Australian University Fair
I am delighted to invite you all to the upcoming TIAN Australian University Fair on August 8 here at AISM.
The event provides parents and students with a chance to see the outstanding educational opportunities on offer in Australia. For our older students, it gives them a chance to ask specific questions to experts; for our younger students it gives them an opportunity to think about what they might like to do when they leave school.
We warmly invite all AISM parents to attend, either to speak to representatives directly, or to support their children.
The event is organised in partnership with the Taylor’s International Alliance Network (TIAN) and we are looking forward to welcoming a total of 23 institutions to AISM from all over Australia. This will be one of the largest Australian University Fairs we have ever hosted here at AISM.
UK, US, Malaysia and Singapore University Fair
Our Senior School Students have the opportunity to attend a second university fair on Tuesday 9 August. We have 24 institutions attending this fair from UK, Ireland, USA, Malaysia and Singapore and this event is important to all students considering studying somewhere other than Australia.
Years 9 to 11 are rostered on to visit this fair at set times during their lessons, however parents are free to attend this fair at a time most convenient to them (should they wish to do so!).
