Michelle Chaplin, Head of Junior School
The Junior School students have returned this term with renewed vigour and energy - ready to embark on their learning goals and in charge of their own learning. As Visible Learners the students work closely with their teachers to devise their goals for this term, a plan for how to achieve their goals and a timeline - I thought it interesting for us to see how this looks at each level in the Junior School! -
Learning Goals across the Junior School - check in with your child - what are their goals for this term?
As Visible Learners all our students and teachers set goals for the term that align with their stage of development and are unique to their personal learning journey.
Year 3 - Returning to School
We are back! And in Year 3, we are loving school more than ever! As well as we did whilst we were working online, our time away from school has made us all the more appreciative of school life on campus and how much better it is being together.
To celebrate our return to school, Ms Pather had the wild and wonderful idea of filling balloons with confetti and then popping the balloon above our heads at the same time. Not all of us, understandably, wanted to do it, as popping balloons can be frightening, so the people who didn’t want to pop became the filmers and photographers. Mr Cox has a mild fear of balloons popping, but he showed some supreme bravery and gave it a go. We were also able to convince some of the school’s leadership to get involved in the celebration. It was hilarious!
