The library has been a very dynamic teaching and learning place during this term. Activities have included story sessions, wide reading, private study and research. Students have been seen immersing themselves in our new arrival books with contagious curiosity.
The most joyful holiday in the Hindu calendar is Diwali, the Festival of Lights. Junior School students have had an amazing learning experience about the holiday and practice related vocabulary during their library lessons. Students also produced colourful and creative writing and artwork. Their wonderful works are up for display in the library.
In addition, it has also been a spooktacular week in the library. The shelves are filled with “eerie-sistible” halloween inspired theme books and our readers are having a “fang-tastic” time reading them. Junior school students applied their reading skills to examine some popular halloween characters in their favorite readers. Students also produced “Fa-boo-lous” writing and artwork. Their “spook-tacular” works are up for display in the library.
The library has a range of reading resources covering recent and upcoming festivals such as Diwali, Halloween and Christmas. Moreover, the library has added a new book classification which are; Middle Grade and Young Adult Classifications. Here is a sneak peak of some newly arrived books:
