Good luck to all of our students in Years 6-10 as you embark on your examination week next week!
Students, please be sure to arrive to your examination hall promptly, ready to start each paper, with all of the resources that you require. For the PAT Tests, you will need an electronic device, so make sure that yours is fully charged!
For those who missed it in last week’s eNews, members of our community might have noticed that for the past few Wednesdays at 11am I’ve been running around our school field for 15 minutes at 11am!
Here’s the main idea. In order to care for ourselves and boost our mental health, all it takes is to invest just 15 minutes of our time every day doing something that brings us joy - it might be running, it might be dancing, it might be knitting, it might be talking with friends, it might be reading - but whatever it is, if we don’t make the time for it to happen, it won’t!
So - back at the beginning of this term without telling anybody I headed out onto our school field and ran around in circles.
I was a bit worried that nobody else would join me but I was absolutely delighted that two of our students did - Iggy and Jack. They both received one of our awesome Just15 school T-shirts and had a great jog around the field with me for 15 minutes.
Since then, each week I’ve been joined by more and more students. It’s been so great to see the message spreading - that when we carve out just 15 minutes of time each day to invest in ourselves, it makes such a difference to our mental health!
This culminated in an amazing Wednesday this week! To be honest, the field was a little waterlogged and conditions weren’t the best for running, but I was delighted to be joined by over 60 students and staff for a high-energy gallop around the field with lots more Just15 T-shirts being awarded!
Let’s keep this going for the rest of Term 4. I’ll be there every Wednesday at 11am and I look forward to seeing you all then! (parents, feel free to join us!)
