Sparking Creativity in Year 4

We have been having such an enthusiastic and curious time in Year Four so far this year. The students have embraced new opportunities to solve problems, connect with each other and once again make the most of being back on campus.
A very special element of our learning experiences this year features our Writer’s Notebooks, which are compendiums of ideas, inspiration and styles of writing that are added to each week. In Term One, the students began to fill the pages with ‘sparks’ - pictures and words that can be used in future writing endeavors. This Term, we have begun to use our sparks as we explore narrative writing and challenging ourselves to think outside the box.
I like my Cast of Characters page the most because I like drawing scary stuff and I can use it in my stories
