Mark Doyle, Head of Science and Technology
STEM week looked a little different this year. Due to the current situation, the MSS students could not host the Junior School for our usual showcase, nor hold the much anticipated fun activities at lunchtimes. But fear not, STEM week was alive....virtually!
Our Technology teachers put together many links to websites and videos for lots of fun activities that the Junior School students could try at home or with their teachers. Please use the links below, to try out some DT and ICT activities for yourself.

For Science experiments, our Term 3 assessment task for Year 10 students was to design websites about Chemical reactions, specifically to teach the Junior School students in STEM week. Over the first few weeks of Term 3, the Year 10 students worked hard on designing and trialling their very own experiments, demonstrating factors affecting the rate of chemical reactions, that would be safe and easy for Junior School students to do at home with their parents or, at school with their teachers..........................
Now, it just depends how brave you are!

We encourage everyone in our community to try these activities and share in the joy and wonder of STEM teaching at AISM.
