Denise McFarlane, School Nurse

Screening for Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) has been carried out by Health Services this week.

All ELC and Years 1 and 2 students have been screened.

Health Services advise parents to keep their children off school if they show any signs of illness. This includes high fever, sore throat and feeling lethargic. It is important to inform the School and Health Services if your child or younger sibling has contracted HFMD.

HFMD is a viral infection caused by a group of enteroviruses, most commonly the Coxsackie virus.
