Graeme joined the AISM team in 2013. His experience in Australia includes teaching students from 5-12 years of age as a classroom teacher and an IT specialist, and running a Junior School boarding house for eight to eleven year old boys. His leadership experience includes Deputy Head and Curriculum Coordinator at Newington College, Lindfield, and Head of Primary at Bishop Druitt College, Coffs Harbour, the largest independent school in regional NSW.

 

Graeme loves all sports, but particularly enjoys football, golf, and running. He has a strong interest in pastoral care and believes respect, manners and giving of your best at all times is non negotiable.

Prior to joining AISM, Kerry was Deputy Head Academic at Newton Preparatory School, London, UK, where she worked for 11 years. In her career in Australia and the UK, Kerry has been High Ability Coordinator, Head of Drama, Head of English and has thoroughly relished being a teacher of English in secondary schools. She believes that the cornerstones of educational excellence are curiosity, creativity and perseverance and these attributes need to be nurtured by skilled and inspirational teachers.

Dianne has taught for 23 years within a variety of schools throughout her career in both the public and private sectors. Most recently, she has been teaching and training other teachers within the field of Early Intervention at Telethon Speech and Hearing Centre. Dianne has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in early language and literacy development and her passion is in early intervention and providing children with the best possible start as they commence their own educational journeys. She enjoys music, theatre and travel.

After dedicating her foundational years of teaching to disadvantaged schools in Melbourne's northern suburbs, Leigh has learnt the importance of creating a personalised learning environment and getting to know each student's interests, thinking processes, preferred learning styles, backgrounds and families. Leigh has been teaching for 13 years and has a passion for teaching all levels of the Junior School, drawing upon a strong information and communication technologies (ICT) teaching knowledge. Challenges excite her, particularly working with students for whom English is an additional language (EAL) and those with special needs. Leigh is married and has two young children. She enjoys swimming, netball and a good nasi lemak!

Kris has a wealth of teaching experience, both in Australia and abroad, having developed his teaching style over the past 16 years. This includes teaching in the western suburbs of Melbourne, leafy suburbs of Bradford (UK) for 8 years, a year in multicultural Preston and culminating with 5 years in the beachside town of Mount Martha, Victoria.

 

Kris aims to create a classroom environment that stimulates and challenges students to reach their full potential both academically and emotionally. He achieves this by forging strong relationships with students and parents, setting clear learning goals and ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed and become lifelong learners!

 

Kris has travelled to Malaysia from Melbourne with his wife and two daughters. He has a passion for travel, sport and classic cars.

Prior to joining AISM, Dale was Head of Junior Sport, Health & Physical Education for 18 years at Ipswich Girls' Grammar school in Queensland. She has also worked in the public and private education sectors in Brisbane, throughout London and completed a volunteer teaching placement in Peru. Alongside her teaching, Dale has worked in high performance sport with roles at the Queensland Academy of Sport and Brisbane Roar FC in athlete welfare and development.

 

Dale's personal teaching philosophy is 'Non Scholae Sed Vitae Discimus' - we learn not for school but for life, and she firmly believes in assisting students to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

 

Ms Yen Wey Ang

Yen Wey is passionate about working with young children. With more than 15 years experience in early years settings in both teaching and management roles, she believes that an educator has an enormous impact on developing the whole child. This makes her constantly reflect on her self awareness and the application of practices that allow children to reach their potential.

 

She is interested in arts that help children express themselves better, especially their inner feelings. Being an art therapist is what she aspires to in the future. In her own time, she enjoys being surrounded by nature. She loves gardening and playing basketball.

Bianca graduated with a Bachelor in Education (Language and Literature) in 2012 from Universiti Tun Abdul Razak. She worked as a substitute teacher in a local government school before starting as an Assistant Teacher at AISM in 2013. In 2014 Bianca was appointed to the position of classroom teacher where her passion and interest in the Reggio Emilia approach and programs of inquiry began. She is passionate about this philosophy of learning and uses the principles of Reggio to ensure her learning environment is meaningful and enjoyable. Bianca enjoys travelling and entertainment. She believes joy and laughter are vital for children to learn successfully.

Over nineteen years of teaching Eve has continued to demonstrate how flexible she is at adapting to new environments. Her experience has seen her teach not only in Australia but also for eight years in the United Kingdom, and now Malaysia.

 

Eve’s passion and excitement for delivering a personalised approach to her class drives her teaching, along with working collaboratively with her peers and parents, to make sure that each child feels like they are in a place where they can succeed. This is done through providing a rich and exciting curriculum that meets the needs of each child. Eve has been accompanied by her husband and two daughters to Malaysia. Starting out in the north of England, he taught at various primary schools throughout the country before making the move to Asia. He taught English in Bali and Singapore to both children and adults for four years before moving to Malaysia. Nick enjoys traveling, snorkeling, reading and music; he loves playing the guitar. He is passionate about creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment, where his students work collaboratively to reach their goals. Brett recognises that pupils learn and develop in different ways, and thus implements a differentiated teaching programs to meet the needs of all learners.

Tracie started her career over ten years ago as a middle school teacher of English in the east of England. She later made the transition to teaching in primary schools, with the majority of her experience being with Year 5. In 2013, she moved to Bali to teach English as a Second Language and after two and a half years, moved to Singapore where she taught English enrichment classes for a further two years. Tracie believes in the importance of building confidence in her students and engaging them through a creative curriculum. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading and snorkeling.
