Our board ensures our school is managed prudently for the long term
The board of governors has the overall responsibility of advising, managing and monitoring the activities of our school in accordance with the Education Act 1996 and the Companies Act. The responsibilities of the Board include approving major changes to the curriculum which affect the nature of what is taught in the school, ensuring the quality of teaching and learning in the school meets the expectations of the Mission and Purpose statement and to set and adopt a long term developmental plan for the school.
Tan Sri Dato' Alimuddin Bin Md Dom (Chairman)
Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Alimuddin bin Md Dom was formerly the Director General of Education in the Ministry of Education Malaysia, and has served for 34 years in various education roles. He is current chairman of the Yayasan Guru Malaysia Berhad ( YGMB ) in addition to his role as Chairman for AISM’s Board of Governors.
Dato' Loy Teik Ngan, Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Taylor's Education Group
As Chief Executive Officer of Taylor’s Education Group, Dato’ Loy Teik Ngan and family took over the company in 2003, building it into Malaysia’s largest education group. He is an entrepeneur and has been CEO of various companies, currently also serving as a Director of Leisure Holidays Berhad and Group, MBF Corporation Berhad and Group and MBF Unit Trust Management Berhad.
Mrs Abby Loy, Executive Director, Taylor's Education Group
Mrs Abby Loy is Executive Director and shareholder of Taylor’s Education Group. She oversees the Group Human Resources in which she was responsible for leading the organisation’s transformation of HR services in the group from purely administrative and transaction HR to a more strategic unit. With a career path spaning over 25 years, she continues to lead transformative change projects that have a significant and positive impact on the organizations that she is involved in.
Mr BK Gan, President, Taylor's Schools
Currently the President of Taylor's Schools, Mr Gan has played a pivotal role in the development of the Taylor's Schools in recent years.
An accountant by training, Mr Gan commenced his career as an accountant in Australia. He has had the experience of working in a financial institutions in Malaysia and Hong Kong.
He joined Taylor’s Education Group in September 2005 to fulfil his desire to be involved in education. In his current role as President of Taylor’s Schools, he oversees the strategic planning of the long term direction of the schools within the Group.
Mrs Chew Yat Yee, Advisor, Taylor's School
Mrs Chew has been with Taylor's Education Group (TEG) for 29 years and has been in the education industry for 43 years. She has a career in teaching and operations. Prior to joining the group, Mrs Chew worked in the finance and media industry.
Dr Deborah Priest (ex-officio), Principal, Australian International School Malaysia (AISM)
Dr Priest joined AISM as Principal in January 2015.
