Eryn Grady, Head of the Arts
The Music Department presented the 2017 Semester 1 showcase on Wednesday 7 June. The AISM Orchestra performed Dance of the Tumblers, a favourite classical piece. The newly formed choir teamed up with Year 5 to present a great rendition of Lean on Me! Wow, fantastic moves from the show choir! I look forward to them developing and singing more.
The new Jazz Band performed St James Infirmary Blues and the Year 11 students have learnt to improvise. It was great to hear from the larger groups as well as the soloists! All of the Year 12 and Year 11 Music classes performed their solos as well as Hayley Saw from Year 6. What a lineup it was!

AISM Orchestra Community Outreach
The AISM Orchestra has been building and we are inviting any new (or previous members) students to come and join. You need to see Mrs Grady to join this group. I am also asking any parents or teachers who play an orchestral instrument and would like to join, to please contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org. I am particularly looking for brass and woodwind players as well as all strings. We rehearse from 3.20 to 4.20pm every Wednesday.
ELC and Lower Junior School Musical Productions
I was so proud of our productions this term. Miss Tracey worked very hard with all the students to produce a fantastic ELC production called Ten Little Ladybugs and the Lower Junior School Production called Under the Sea. The costumes were amazing and the children all had a fantastic time. A big thank you to all the teachers and parents involved.
