Career & Pathway Planning

HOW WE HELP

Plan For The Future

Our students benefit from having a dedicated Career & Pathway Planning Counsellor and guidance throughout their
Senior Years from Year 9 to 12.

Real Workplace Experience

We offer opportunities to experience the world outside as part of our Careers Week. Our previous experiences have included placements with Tourism Malaysia, Gleneagles Hospital, Monash University, Astro, PricewaterhouseCoopers, The Expat magazine and more.

Careers & Pathway Curriculum

Two full days in Year 10 and one full day in Year 9 is organised to allow students to explore their interests and career paths. Year 10 students participate in mock interviews and draft a resume

Formal Careers Interviews

Year 10 to 12 students attend formal careers interviews to assist in subject selection choices and education pathways conducted by the school. These encourage our Senior students and graduating classes to consider their options.

Option To Enrol In Careers Services “Futurewise”

Optional enrolment for students from Year 10 and above in Futurewise which provides psychometric profiling services and on-going careers support until the age of 23.

Help With University &
Scholarship Applications

We ensure our students understand their options by regularly holding workshops, guest lectures, global university fairs and presentations that provide information on universities internationally. The school has more than 50 universities and institutions of higher learning visiting every year with a special focus on an Australian, Malaysian and British University fair held at the school. AISM also provide assistance with university applications and advice on scholarships.

UCAS Centre

Our graduates can take advantage of AISM’s status as a Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) Centre to submit their applications to UK universities. Being a UCAS Centre provides greater levels of assistance to students applying to the UK, making this is an excellent opportunity.
